Memorial Awards 2011
We are proud to once again give people the opportunity to recognise the achievements and hard work of lone parents by nominating them for one of our lone parent awards.
For the third year we will be awarding our Elaine Wilson Memorial Award in recognition of a lone parent who has made a significant achievement over the last year whether that's a personal goal or simply overcoming the odds to be the person they are today.
We also have a new award for 2011 in recognition of single dads. The Marc Leggat Memorial Award is dedicated to one of our lone parents who lost their life in tragic circumstances last year.

Elaine Wilson Memorial Award
This is the third year of the award in memory of Elaine Wilson who died suddenly on January 3rd 2009 aged 48. Elaine served on the Management Committee of Fife Gingerbread and had a passion for life and a determination that benefited her, her family and friends and Fife Gingerbread.
In memory of her life, it was decided to dedicate an award in her name.
Anyone who has contact with a lone parent whether in a professional capacity or as a friend or family member is invited to make a nomination or nominations.
Marc Leggat Memorial Award
Marc Leggat was a single dad who died in tragic circumstances in November 2010.
He was a dedicated family man who adored his family and did the best for them whenever possible. In memory of his life, his family dedicated an award in his name to recognise the great work that single dads do.
Anyone who has contact with a single dad whether in a professional capacity or as a friend or family member is invited to make a nomination or nominations. A dad does not need to have sole custody of his child/children in order to be eligible for this award.
The winner of both awards will be announced at the Annual Event on Friday 28th October, 2011 and will receive a trophy and money voucher to the value of £100.
For both awards you must be:
* Be a lone parent
* Be a member of Fife Gingerbread (join online by filling in your details here)
* The achievement must have taken place in the last year.
* You cannot nominate yourself.
The deadline for nominations is 30th September 2011.
The decision by the judging panel is final.
