This week is national Men’s Health Week - This Sunday it’s Fathers Day- so what better time to celebrate the great Dads and carers out there.
Suzanne, one of our lovely Teen Parent workers, sent us a snapshot of a family that have recently joined Fife Gingerbread. Suzanne tells us how the relationship is working under current circumstances, and Colin tells us how he is keeping busy with a little baby girl at home.
Suzanne - “As a worker I had been unable to go out and visit the family prior to lockdown, so we have been using social media as platform to communicate stories and pictures. This is going to be the new norm for us, as with any referrals that come into our project, but we will continue to provide the necessary emotional and as practical support we can offer.”
Colin -" It had been a bit tricky at the start, we had a few low moments but luckily I had my mum here to help me - since then things have picked up.
We are having so much fun watching Bookbug Live every Friday and I like tuning into Fife’s Sunday Sessions (a group of singers do a live show every Sunday on Facebook.)
Everlea has come on so much in the last few weeks, she is lifting her head up, she is sleeping through the night, it's crazy!
And now she has a tooth ready to come though, as if lockdown couldn't get any more fun!"
Have a wonderful Father’s Day Colin and Everlea – from Suzanne and all of us here at Fife Gingerbread.
