Deaf Awareness Week, 6th—12th May 2024
Here at Fife Gingerbread, we love to learn new things and have fun, and to celebrate Deaf Awareness Week, volunteers, parents and staff created this video!
Deafness is close to our hearts as it affects our Fife Gingerbread family in a number of ways, with some of us having partial hearing and with Jill’s (Support Worker) granddaughter born with no hearing and now having cochlear implants… despite being on her journey of learning to communicate and talk, she’s a little ‘Firework’ and nothing stops her.
It takes us weeks to learn these songs, and our performance isn’t perfect, but we have a lot of fun and laughs doing it and this year we have some parents joining us… not forgetting Gingey!
